Mikhail Surkov is a 10th grade school student from Nagorny District, who has just received the Encouragement Prize at the International Exhibition for Young Inventors in Japan.

Earlier on, the district newspaper “Na Varshavke. Nagorny” wrote about Mikhail Surkov, a young inventor, who creates affordable and practical devices for visually impaired people.
Right after the return from Japan, where Mikhail participated in IEYI 2017, the boy told our correspondent about his impressions of the Exhibition: “I really liked the Exhibition. I have become friends with so many new international as well as Russian participants. It was nice to receive the Encouragement Prize, and certificate from Japanese and Chinese delegations. My devices were pretty popular around visitors of IEYI 2017. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to win a medal. But I still have got a lot ahead!”
A small reminder
This year fifteen countries all around the world, including India, Italy, Vietnam and Russia, demonstrated their projects during International Exhibition for Young Inventors. The full record includes 12 gold, 26 silver and 46 bronze medals given by the expert jury of IEYI 2017.
